A white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Both grape varieties are harvested by hand from decades-old vines (37 years old) on the northern slope of the Kanonberg and initially bottled in concrete tanks until fermentation begins. This is followed by 11 months of barrel fermentation until bottling. This marriage of the vines from the South African vineyard in Durbanville, very close to Cape Town, reflects the love of the land and its different flavours in a light variety. terroirs and brings a little piece of South Africa to German tables. The fresh complexity of the 2016 vintage impresses with ethereal flavours and clearly bears the signature of a gifted winemaker who continues to produce outstanding wines from the Bloemendal Estate by blending tried-and-tested and new methods.

A classic, complex flavour experience

A classic white cuvée made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. To increase the complexity, both grape varieties were fermented and aged in barrels. The result is a graceful oakiness that is complemented by aromas of fresh herbs and citrus blossom. The complexity of this white wine is then evident on the palate, with flavours of lemongrass and Granny Smith apples, accompanied by a lingering mineral finish.
