The winery is located in the town of Robertson, which belongs to the municipality of Langeberg. The town of Robertson is 200 metres above sea level.

It was founded in 1853 and named after William Robertson, a pastor of Swellendam. The carefully selected vineyards of Rosendal Estate are located in this fertile valley. The Rosendal Winery and Wellness Resort not only offers wine and leisure, it also recognises the social responsibility of employees, customers, the environment and the public in general.
