This white wine wants to be drunk! Its aromas of citrus blossom, tropical notes and minerality on the nose, balanced with guava, passion fruit and pineapple on the palate. Nice spicy finish with a hint of green grass. A well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc that suits every occasion and can be drunk immediately or within three years.

A very good wine from the record-breaking 2020 harvest season

The Hillcrest boutique winery near Durbanville near Cape Town has been in existence since 1993. It produces around 33,000 bottles of wine a year, equal parts red and white. Hillcrest wines are in great demand. Winemaker Arno Smith is not the only one raving about his fantastic 2020 harvest season with record-breaking yields of high-quality grapes. So it's no surprise that we were also completely impressed by this year's Sauvignon Blanc after its isolation maturation process in oak barrels.
