Wines from South Africa by Klein Roosboom

Several variations of agriculture were carried out, whether with cattle or wheat. But it soon became clear that the best way to produce the best South African wines was to plant grapes. The rolling hills and fertile soils of Klein Roosboom produce the highest quality wines from Durbanville.

Due to the cooler climatic conditions in Durbanville and the surrounding farms, the 160-hectare Vineyards of Klein Roosboom ideal for the production of top quality grapes. With the help of the southerly easterly wind, cool air from the Atlantic Ocean blows over the vineyards of Durbanville. This gives the South African white wines in particular their excellent quality.

Since the 1980s, the de Villiers family has shown nothing but passion and love for the soil and the vines on their farm. Over the years, this has resulted in award-winning South African wines.

In 2007, Karin de Villiers, with a great preference for Brut MCC (Methode Cap Classic), also decided to produce sparkling wines. Previously, she sold these grapes to neighbouring wineries. Thus Klein Roosboom was born and is still owned by the family!

The "Tastingroom", the wine tasting room, has been lovingly remodelled by Karin and transformed into charming, cosy little caves. Here you can relax and enjoy the South African wines and the South African Brut MCC. Of course you can order cheese and sausage platters, fresh farmhouse bread and of course sweets to accompany your wine tasting.
