Bloemendal Waterlily Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

The grapes for this tangy red wine are harvested by hand from 16-year-old vines and soaked in cold water in whole clusters for 48 hours before the fermentation process begins. The wine is then stored in various oak barrels, some of which are new and some of which have been used before.

The barrel maturation lasts 18 months. The wine is then bottled. This classic Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of pencil shavings, blackcurrants and blackberries as well as a wonderfully tight structure and a real explosion of freshness. A very storable wine that gains depth and meaning over time.
