The blend is balanced and has an extremely long and rewarding finish. This is primarily due to the firm tannins and harmonious acidity. The Reserve Cape Francolin will also go down in the history books thanks to the 2015 harvest. Due to the dry weather, the wines have an exceptionally intense flavour.

The red wine consists of 28 % from Cabernet Sauvignon, 22 % from Malbec, 22 % from Merlot, 18 % from Petit Verdot and 17 % from Cabernet Franc. The Reserve Cape Francolin is a historically brilliant red wine from South Africa that has matured perfectly and enjoyed optimum fermentation.

This wine is an excellent accompaniment to braised beef. The flavour also comes into its own with a grilled steak or lamb chop. The various stages of maturation and the transfer to the barrels provide an exotic flavour.
