From our esteemed partner Hillcrest, we present the Robbenzicht from 2015, a spirited wine in a deep garnet red colour with a concentrated flavour of red and dark berries.

Lively and vibrant, the South African sun resonates in every glass. The cool Atlantic winds have given the vines a fresh fruit flavour, which naturally comes into its own in the wine.

It's all in the mix!

The Robbenzicht 2015 consists of equal parts of 38% Merlot & Malbec each, plus 15% Cabernet Sauvignon & 9% Cabernet Franc. This combination of rich, red vines makes Robbenzicht absolutely unique in terms of flavour.

The grapes all come from the estate's own vineyards and are processed to the highest standards. Hillcrest now produces 40 to 50 tonnes of grapes on its slopes, which are processed into excellent wines.

You can taste the experience and personal commitment of the winemaker and his employees in the wines. In addition, the South African climate allows the grapes to ripen into breathtaking and multi-award-winning wines.

Robbenzicht 2015 - a special wine with character

The flavour is dominated by Merlot & Malbec, which together also make up two thirds of the grapes processed with Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc. These grapes emphasise the aromas of the Merlot and Malbec and give the wine additional elegance, structure and soft tannins.
